Importance of a Support System as a Mom in Business
As a Mompreneur, it can feel like your world revolves around everyone else. You must help the kids with homework, take the business meeting, clean the living room, and close the big account. Having a support system in your life is vital.
My family, my husband, my friends, my colleagues — each of these people has been essential in creating my circle of support, but two team members have kept me on track in a huge way – Lillian O. and Sadie Stillwagon.
We celebrate every success together, and Sadie always ensures we’re all smiling. Even when things seemed at their worst and I had to go into emergency surgery, these ladies took care of the business so I could try focusing on healing.
Not sure if you have a support system? Look at your inner circle. Find the person who is the first to volunteer to pick up something you forgot or listen to you talk about the chaotic morning. Who is the person you can always count on for a friendly face or kind word?
You may be surprised to find quite a few in your life. If you want to find more, connect with other mompreneurs who understand where you’re coming from. We all look out for each other.
