Don’t Worry How You’re Getting There
The weather is getting colder, and holiday decorations are starting to go up everywhere, so 2022 is coming close. It also means it’s time to start planning what your goals are for 2023! As a mompreneur, this is always one of my favorite times of the year, imagining what the new year will look like.
Identifying your goals is more than just the first step to achieving them. It also allows you to see what you want out of life and begin to plan the steps you will take in order to achieve these goals. That’s why for the past few years, my team and I have gotten together to create our vision boards for the new year. As a team, we can identify our collective and individual goals to keep each other accountable in 2023.
What is a vision board? If you are new to this concept, a vision board is normally a corkboard, poster, or even a screensaver on your computer that uses photos and keywords to help you envision your goals. By imagining what it would be like to achieve your goals, you’re more likely to take inspired action and achieve them.
An inspired action is exactly what it sounds like: it’s the actions you’re inspired to take to move you in the direction of achieving your goals. This could be actually researching how to start a business or requesting information on a real estate course. Every goal is reached by taking the first step.
My team and I worked on our vision boards together this year and not only was it a fantastic team building exercise, but it also gave us all a glimpse into who we are. My team knows that when I’m not focused on the company, I might be thinking about flipping a new property.. Plus, by sharing these goals, we’re able to keep each other motivated and accountable.
With our vision boards complete, we now have a clear idea of what we want to accomplish. I can feel the satisfaction of paying off a car or smell the distinct scent of the Disney parks where I hope to go with my family. I can even see the dreams of team coming true and changing their life for the better.
It’s no secret that 2022 has been a very intense year, with people readjusting after 2 years in the pandemic and a closely watched real estate economy. However, I am incredibly proud of what my team and I have been able to accomplish this past year. I know 2023 will be even better.
